To mark Advice Week  (12-18th October 2009), a national week dedicated to raising public awareness of the importance of advice, Terry Rooney attended an event at the House of Commons to show support for the free advice sector,

where he met with representatives from local advice agencies and heard about the work they are doing to help their local communities and especially those struggling as a result of the recession.
