Terry Rooney welcomes the Government's response to Rita Donaghy's report into the underlying causes of fatal construction accidents.  The Government has accepted the majroity of Rita Donaghy's recommendations, including support of Common Minimum Standards throughout publicly funded construction projects; mutual recognition between pre-qualification schemes; and support for greater worker participation.  This follows on from the earlier findings of the Work and Pensions Select Committee, Chaired by Terry Rooney, when they carried out an investigation into this area in 2008.
